SAVE Promise
Students Against Violence Everywhere (SAVE) Promise Club is the youth leadership initiative of Sandy Hook Promise. Led by our Club advisor and middle school social worker, Mrs.King-Morton, the aim is to empower young leaders to take an active role in increasing school safety and preventing different forms of violence in schools and communities. At Oliver, our SAVE Promise club hosts activities annually that create a culture of inclusivity and respect. Our students are strongly encouraged to use their voices to create change. We strive to partner with community organizations at least twice every school year to emphasize the importance of volunteering and giving back. Our students participate in hallway patrol to maintain order and safety, student-led activities such as "Start with Hello" week and "Say Something Week", "Candy canes for Kindness", "Cups and Compliments", etc. They also serve as student ambassadors when events and guests are in the building. The SAVE Promise club encourages students to be leaders and upstanders.
